RALEIGH -- A panel of six house members had planned to meet on Thursday but the meeting has been delayed until Jan. 9 because of a family death of one of the committee members.
Next Wednesday, the committee will decide whether there's enough evidence to prove that the Wilmington Democrat may have taken part in unethical or illegal conduct.
That committee could later recommend to the entire chamber that Wright be censured or removed from office.
Wright faces six felony charges for illegally obtaining or misusing more than $350,000.
He's due back in court for the criminal case on Friday.
