WILMINGTON -- Millions of dollars in federal funds for local projects are in limbo at this time.
President Bush is deciding whether to sign a spending bill that Representative Mike McIntyre says includes $24 million dollars for the North Carolina coast.
The projects include re-nourishing beaches and dredging the Wilmington harbor and intra coastal waterway.
Without specifically mentioning those items, President Bush says he's not happy with all of the projects lawmakers shoehorned into the spending bill.
At a news conference on Thursday, the president didn't say he'd veto the bill, but he's asking one of his aides to look at it more closely.
In the past, President Bush has opposed beach re-nourishing projects.
