Lawyers Preparing for Delgado Murder Trial

WILMINGTON -- On Thursday, lawyers talked about what evidence will be presented and who will be testifying in a New Hanover County murder case.

Tyrone Delgado is accused of killing Melissa Mooney in her Castle Hayne home back in August of 1999.

Mooney was a secretary for the Wilmington FBI field office.

In 2005, Delgado was arrested in Louisiana and was brought back to North Carolina to face charges.

Prosecutors will not be seeking the death penalty, but he could be sentenced to life in prison without parole if convicted on the first degree murder charge.
