Tuesday, October 9, is Election Day in the City of Wilmington.
The results of that election will determine whether the City will "stay the course" or "change direction."
No matter which candidates you support or where you stand on the issues, if you haven't already taken advantage of early voting, you need to vote.
If you haven't done your research, visit the WECT.com Decision 2007 political page for links to the candidate bios. Also, you can click on the WECT Web Cast to view the City Council and Mayoral Candidate Forums we've posted for you.
Educate yourself about the candidates and the issues, and then vote.
Voting is more than a right, it's a privilege. A privilege that many Americans take for granted, yet people around the world are fighting and dying for that privilege.
Don't ignore your responsibility. It's one of the most important things you can do for your family's future. If you don't, you'll have no reason to complain about the outcome.
