COLUMBUS COUNTY -- A White Lake resident has announced his plans to run for the seventh district congressional seat currently held by Mike McIntyre.
Republican Will Breazeale flew into the Columbus County airport in Whiteville to announce his candidacy.
The airline pilot and Iraq war veteran made stops at airports in all ten counties of the seventh district on Thursday.
At each stop he spoke with residents about his plans to unseat Congressman Mike McIntyre.
McIntyre has represented the district for more than ten years.
Breazeale says it's about serving the voters.
"They're not here to make me look good, I'm here to make them look good and make sure their lives are acceptable, no matter where you are, you can do better, and I know that, I'm listening , touring, I have some ideas based on my experience in Iraq. I have a plan," said Will Breazeale, Republican candidate for Congress.
Breazeale's final stop on his airplane tour is in Wilmington.
