Castle Street Fire

NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a house fire on 16th and Castle Street.

The fire happened around 9:20 a.m. on Friday.

Neighbors say they heard Collin Griffin yelling and screaming from inside the burning building.

Griffin was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

One neighbor says he witnessed the fire from his porch.

"Another guy heard him in the there hollering, they broke the door in and pulled him out. They said he was sitting in the middle of the floor burning," said neighbor Ulysses Sparrow.

Investigators tell us they have ruled out the possibility of arson.
