DUPLIN COUNTY -- There is an update about the Duplin County Animal Shelter concerning the contagious parvo disease.
State inspectors said they found no sick animals in the shelter, but no sick animals does not mean the shelter is parvo-free.
The inspector's report says the shelter had inadequate ventilation for the animals.
A suitable method to drain excessive water to prevent odor was also called for in the report.
The state will reinspect the Duplin County Animal Shelter in 30 days.
