BLADENBORO -- The family of a murder victim in Bladen County says the killer's motive was money.
John Hester is accused of killing 70-year-old Rudolph Hughes Friday. He's also suspected of killing retired reverend Charles Jackson in Robeson County the same day.
Hughes' family says Hester wanted money and the two knew each other. Hughes had given Hester a ride earlier that day, and the two argued. Family members say Hester came back to Hughes' home and killed him.
Police have yet to comment about a motive.
