Woman Injured in Drive-by Shooting

-- A woman is recovering after a drive-by shooting.

Police say they got a call about the shooting around 1:30 am Thursday. It happened in the 600 block of North 30th Street in the Creekwood community.

Natalie Scott, 45, was shot twice in the leg. Police say she lost a significant amount of blood, but her injuries are not life-threatening.

Neighbors at first thought the gunfire was fireworks.

Police officers say they've had a difficult time getting witnesses to give a clear description of the car that drove by.

They do not think it was a random shooting, but they don't think Scott was the intended victim.
