WILMINGTON-- The New Hanover Special Olympics is running a summer camp for special needs children over three separate weeks.
The kids are jumping, running, and dancing through these early weeks of summer, and ejoying every minute.
On most days the campers play sports, but on wednesdays they head to the Gold's Gym on Racine Drive in Wilmington for an aerobics session.
These kind of workouts are not all that different from what the nation's olympic athletes undergo.
Organizers of this effort say it's a good thing for these athletes to get up off the couch and break a sweat.
