WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH -- The town of Wrightsville Beach will help fund the dredging of the Carolina Beach inlet, to the tune of $2,500.
The state has agreed to pay $300,000 towards the $400,000 project.
Last month, the New Hanover County Comissioners voted to fund $60,000 to the project, and Carolina Beach is contributing $30,000.
However, the town of Carolina Beach is hoping to receive another $7,500 to meet the $400,000 goal.
