BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- It took the jury less than an hour to return with the verdict: guilty of first-degree murder.
Antwan Ash, on trial for the death of 21-year-old Kendrick Sparrow, looked emotionless as he left the courtroom. The mandatory sentence for first-degree murder is life in prison.
Sparrow was found shot in his car in the Royal Oak Swamp in Supply in October 2005.
Lawyers made their final arguments Thursday in the trial.
