WILMINGTON -- PPD officials say the groundwater infiltration at the new headquarters in downtown Wilmington has been resolved.
Leaks discovered earlier this month caused a parking deck to fail inspection. Now engineers for the company say they've found a way to stop water from leaking into that level. The deck had previously been sandbagged to stop the flooding.
Air and water tests show there is no health risk to PPD employees. Other tests show there are no environmental health problems within the building. Also, there are no structural problems with the building as a result of the water leak.
Employees began moving into the new riverfront headquarters back in February.
