NEW HANOVER COUNTY -- A robber who preyed on pizza delivery drivers is going to jail.
Corey Newins told a judge Thursday he's guilty of four counts of robbery with a deadly weapon.
Prosecutors say Newins would call restaurants and order food to be delivered to an apartment he did not live in. When the driver would show up at the address on Confederate Drive, he'd hold them at gunpoint and demand money.
One of his victims says he wishes he could get his money back, but he is glad Newins is going to jail.
Newins was sentenced to serve anywhere from seven to 11 years behind bars.
