Free Ride in Downtown Wilmington

WILMINGTON -- Trolley service is expanding in Downtown Wilmington to serve the growing number of businesses and visitors.

Two trolleys will run through downtown Monday through Friday. The expanded route will include North Fourth Street, Chandler's Wharf and the newly constructed PPD building.

Wave Transit says the new route and additional trolley car will reduce wait times to just 10 minutes along any point on the route.

Nearly 5,000 people ride the trolley every month. It is free for all passengers.
