Housing Authority Champions Afforable Options

WILMINGTON-- The People's Choice Award for the best design in affordable housing will be revealed Monday.

Wilmington's Historic Preservation Society will make the announcement Monday afternoon. Sunday, the group visited areas where they say affordable housing is needed.

They say sale signs, empty lots and homes in need of renovations will help build a stronger Wilmington.

"Affordable housing is critical for every American City," said George Edwards of the Historic Preservation Society.

The group says more options are needed near Campbell Avenue.
