WILMINGTON -- The man accused of murdering an SBI secretary in Wilmington will be brought back to New Hanover County soon.
Tyrone Delgado has been in Louisiana on aggravated assault and false imprisonment charges, but he was recently convicted.
Prosecutors in Wilmington say Delgado strangled Melissa Mooney inside her home in 1999.
It's unclear when he'll be brought back to New Hanover County, but District Attorney Ben David says he will stand trial for first degree murder sometime this year.
