WILMINGTON -- The five West Brunswick High School students accused of assaulting and robbing a Calabash woman will be back in court in February to face felony charges.
The teens are accused of breaking into 80-year-old Lillian Hickman's home, pushing her into the bathroom and stealing her money. Hickman is the great aunt of one of the accused teenagers.
They were slated to appear in court Wednesday, but officials with the Brunswick County District Attorney's Office said the students were indicted Monday.
A grand jury decided to move forward with a case against the teens.
The five young men are being represented by separate lawyers. Their cases are now on the calendar for court appearances at the beginning of February. The final dates have not been set.
