-- A well-known Wilmington radio voice is calling it quits after 22 years.

Donn Ansell, the longtime host of "Talk of the Town" on WAAV radio, had his final show Friday morning.

The 63-year-old says retirement is something he's been thinking about for awhile and felt it was the right time to say goodbye.

Ansell got his start on the air while at Princeton. In Wilmington, he's interviewed politicians and celebrities and also enjoyed directing and acting in local theater productions.

"It's been very humbling to hear how people are reacting to my leaving, to hear all that. It's really been very emotional," says Ansell.

Ansell got his first big break starting out as an assistant to longtime CBS television chief William Paley.
