Man Robs RBC Centura in Wilmington

WILMINGTON -- Investigators are looking for the man who robbed a bank in Wilmington Thursday morning. They say he robbed the RBC Centura Bank on Market Street and New Centre Drive.

Police describe the robber as a white man with a brown beard, about 5'9 with a medium build. He was wearing a navy wind breaker, blue jeans, and a dark ball cap with a white bill.

"About 11:05 this morning a gentleman came in about 50 years old with a beard, dark colored beard. He passed a note to a teller. The teller gave him an undisclosed amount of cash. They do have a guard here. Like I said, it was a pass of a note so nobody knew what was going on until it was over with, so hopefully we'll catch this guy," says Officer Craig Melville.

RBC Centura is offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the robbery. Call 1-800-209-2293 with any tips or you can call Wilmington police.
