Wilmington Burger Joint Vandalized

WILMINGTON -- A local restaurant was forced to close its doors Wednesday because of a violent break-in.

Brad Goodman owns Tazy's restaurant on Oleander Drive. He says he found the door shattered when he arrived for work Wednesday morning. Once inside he found shelves over-turned, condiments splattered everywhere, and the TV and stereo dangling from the wall.

It took employees close to four hours to clean up the mess.

Goodman says it was vandals, not robbers. And that's tough for him to swallow.

"We just feel violated more than anything, just getting robbed wouldn't have been as bad. Getting vandalized is terrible," says Goodman.

Tazy's will re-open Thursday.
