LELAND -- The Leland Police Department swarmed the Bojangle's restaurant Thursday afternoon, but they weren't there to arrest anyone.
A lot of Leland police officers eat there frequently, so when they found out one of the employees was a victim of the tornado last month, they decided to help.
Tomeka Jenkins and her three kids lost everything, including their home.
Jenkins thought she was about to be arrested. Instead, officers presented her with a check for $300.
Jenkins says the $300 will definitely come in handy this holiday.
