RIEGELWOOD -- Michael Browne, a member of the Acme-Delco-Riegelwood Volunteer Fire Department was remembered in a service at the Riegelwood Baptist Church.
Browne was carried in a procession of dozens of fire trucks making its way from Wilmington into the Columbus County community.
His fellow firefighters from the Acme-Delco-Riegelwood department carried him into the church.
Browne's services were just one of five held in the area Wednesday.
Six year-old Danny Ruiz Jacobs was laid to rest in Delco Cemetery following services at the Mount Sinai Church.
Dozens crowded outside the Christ the King Church on Highway 87 for services held for Miguel Jurado and Suley Martinez.
Many of the people in the community say Wednesday is especially tough, as they come to deal with the tragedy.
The Wilson family was remembered at a service in Wilmington Wednesday afternoon.
A memorial service was held for the Mai family at the Prosper Baptist Church in Delco.
But as the eight victims are remembered, work continues to help those still dealing with aftermath.
Donations are being accepted at churches, and Andy's Restaurant in Delco will hold a pancake breakfast Saturday morning in which all proceeds will go to tornado relief efforts.
