PENDER COUNTY -- Rain from the past few days turned roads into rivers.
The Pender County School System dismissed early Wednesday morning, and many drivers struggled to manuever through flooded streets.
More than a dozens roads were closed as officials waited for the water to recede.
While heavy rains the past couple of days have already flooded out some areas, county officials say the worst is yet to come.
Officials say those who live on the northeast Cape Fear River to be careful with your wellwater over the next few days in case it is contaminated.
