Elementary Students Collect Food for the Holidays

WILMINGTON -- As Thanksgiving gets closer many people's thoughts turn to food, but not everyone gets a big holiday meal. That's where some local elementary students come in.

The kids at Parsley Elementary School have been collecting food to donate to the food bank. It's something the students do every year.

The school's principal say the students really work together to bring in a lot of food for the drive. They usually collect about 2,000 pounds of food. This year they think they've got even more.
