WILMINGTON -- A water main break spewed water at the corner of Front and Red Cross Streets Monday.
Wilmington officials say crews were repairing an 8-inch water main when it ruptured. Water service has not been affected for anyone in that area and crews hope to finish the repairs by Monday night.
In the meantime, two interesections are closed downtown because of the break. Two blocks of Front Street between Walnut and Campbell are closed, as are the two blocks of Red Cross Street between 2nd and Nutt Streets. Officials hope they will reopen Tuesday morning.
