Teens Arrested After Shot Fired in Best Buy

WILMINGTON -- Two teenagers are in custody after police say one of them opened fire inside a store. It happened Saturday night at the Best Buy store on North College Road.

Officers say the 16-year-old tried to steal a CD. When a security guard confronted him, the two started to struggle. Officers say several employees wrestled the young man to the ground. That's when he pulled out a gun and fired a shot that hit the floor.

He has been charged with armed robbery. A second teenager, 19-year-old Jeffrey McBride, was also arrested in connection with the incident. He's being charged with property damage and shoplifting.
