WILMINGTON -- A Wilmington man already serving time in prison for trafficking heroin will now spend more time behind bars for selling the dangerous drug.
Prosecutors say 24-year-old Franky Johnson told the judge he was going to take the stand in his own defense. Evidently he changed his mind and pled guilty.
Johnson was first arrested for selling heroin during a massive drug bust by the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office in 2003. Prosecutors say he pled guilty to that in 2004, but he was arrested again for selling heroin.
Prosecutors say Johnson's first sentence will be up in 2013. Then he'll start his second sentence, an additional 13 to 16 years.
