Coats for the Coatless Program

NEW HANOVER CO. -- Coats are piling up at Hangars Williams Dry Cleaners across the area as part of WECT's Coats for the Coatless program.

Employees say they've been overwhelmed with coats for kids, men and women. Some haven't ever been worn. At the location in Monkey Junction, they've collected more than 200 coats. Employees say people can't wait to donate.

"They look forward. They come in and say when is the coat drive starting? And some people come in before with coats and I say well it doesn't start until the 7th but you can leave what you have, and that's what they've been doing," says Angela Griego.

You can donate your old coats and jackets to any Hangars Williams Cleaners through Friday, November 10. The Salvation Army will distribute them to people in need.
