Charity Playhouse Comes Fully Loaded

WILMINGTON

-- It's a Christmas gift even adults may be envious of. A kids playhouse is being raffled for charity, but this home is fully loaded.

The 36-square foot playhouse has cedar siding, a metal roof and it's even hurricane proof. When it's complete, it will be on display at Mayfaire Town Center, and then it could be yours.

The raffle tickets are $5 with the money going to the Parenting Place's effort to prevent child abuse.

This is the second year the builder has made a house for the program and says this year it comes with all the extras.

"It'll have maple floors. It's wired for electricity, lights, cable TV, a little flatscreen TV, has a fire place, everything a big house would have," says builder Allan Votta.

The winning ticket will be drawn during our Carolina in the Morning newscast on December 18.
