WILMINGTON -- Kiwanis Club members served up more than 8,000 pancakes Saturday at the annual pancake breakfast.
Gallons of pancake batter fed hundreds of people Saturday at Hoggard High School.
For just $5 you could get all the sausage and pancakes you could eat.
The money for the event goes to the Brigade Boys and Girls Club and local scholarships.
The event is in its 36th year, and a Kiwanis spokesman says this was one of the best.
Hoggard and New Hanover High School students volunteered for the pancake extravaganza.
