WILMINGTON - A high-speed chase on Halloween night ended with two people in the hospital and one driver in jail.
It began when 22-year-old Jason Phillips was pulled over during a traffic stop, authorities said.
Phillips handed over his driver's license, then sped away, leading sheriff's deputies on a chase.
Phillips collided with another car and both vehicles ended up in front of Clayton Homes on Oleander Drive.
The driver and passenger in the other vehicle were hurt, but authorities said their injuries did not appear to be life threatening.
After the crash, Phillips took off again, but detectives were able to track him to a relative's house in the Greenville Loop area.
