Thousands Come Out for Oyster Festival

OCEAN ISLE BEACH -- The sweet aroma of oysters lured some people over to Ocean Isle Beach this weekend for the 26th annual Oyster Festival.

Thousands of people turned out for the island's big event in order to get a taste.

The seafood was served fried, stewed or just raw on the half shell .

One restaurant that won the coveted title of best seafood stew says the festival is about more than just good food.

Unfortunately if you weren't there this weekend you'll have to wait until next year.
