Easley: Review School Safety Plans

SUPPLY -- In light of recent school violence across the country, Gov. Mike Easley asked for a review of school safety programs in North Carolina.

At an event at Brunswick Community College, Easley asked state law enforcement to review school safety plans to help prevent tragedies like the recent shootings in Pennsylvania and Colorado.

"Let's go back and look at what's in place, so kids know who to call if they see someone suspicious," Easley said.

Easley said school safety is not an easy task, but it is a high priority.
