WILMINGTON -- A local lawyer plans to bring a class action lawsuit seeking compensation for residents dealing with the aftermath of the chemical fire in Apex.
Greg Jones and his firm represent a person seeking damages as a result of the plant fire that forced residents to evacuate their homes last week.
The suit has been filed in federal court. Jones feels it can turn into a class action.
Jones said he and his associates had dealt with similar cases involving explosions and industrial accidents, but many questions about Apex still remain.
A website -- www.apexchemicalfire.com -- was set up for victims to contact the law firms bringing this suit.
