Lewis Named Brunswick County's Top Judge

BOLIVIA -- Hundreds gathered at the courthouse on Monday to celebrate the appointment of the Honorable Judge Ola Lewis.

Lewis was named Senior Resident Superior Court Judge.

She gave a speech to the crowd of nearly 400.

Lewis is the first African-American woman to be named to that position in the district, as well as the first woman to ever hold the title.

Lewis will serve all of Brunswick County as the area's top judge.
