-- Residents say smoke billowed out of an apartment at Port South Village Housing on Saturday afternoon.
The Wilmington Fire Department put the flames out in about 10 minutes, but the damage was already done. Authorities aren't sure what caused the blaze.
Water still runs from the faucet of the sink, now surounded by scorched plates and countertops. Neighbors are just glad everyone is OK.
The tenants are now looking for a new home.
