Drivers in Wrightsville Beach May Have to Slow Down

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH -- You may have to start driving slower in Wrightsville Beach.

Three streets in the town have speed limits higher than 25 miles an hour.  One of those is the busy West Salisbury Street, where cars can drive 45 miles an hour on some stretches.

Now the town is considering lowering the speed limits on those streets.

The aldermen are holding a public hearing on the issue before making a decision.
