Authorities Search for Missing Marine

JACKSONVILLE -- Authorities are looking for a marine who has been missing since August 3.

Federal, state and local agents searched 2,500 acres of woods for Staff Sergeant Robert Loughridge on Wednesday and Thursday.

Loughridge was last seen leaving his apartment in Jacksonville, where he lived with his wife. He left behind his wallet, keys and vehicle. There has been no activity in his bank account.

According to the U.S. Marshal's Service, Loughridge faces child pornography charges, which could be connected to his disappearance.

Loughridge was indicted by a federal grand jury on August 23, but investigation had been going on for several months prior to his disappearance.
