Wilmington Special Election Begins Thursday

WILMINGTON -- While the special election for Wilmington City Council is still three weeks away, early voting begins on Thursday September 21.

The special election is for filling the open seat vacated by Bill Saffo when he was promoted to mayor in July.

Starting Thursday, residents wishing to vote in early can head to the Board of Elections at Market Place Mall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Early voting ends with a Saturday session on October 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The special election is on October 10 with all polling places open.
