A Wilmington man is behind bars after Police say he went on a robbery spree in the Port City Tuesday night.

Officers arrested Tysheach McCutchen at his home on Henry Street Wednesday morning.

McCutchen is facing charges for six robberies, four of them from Tuesday night.

Police say McCutchen robbed the Econo Lodge on Market Street around 7 p.m. Tuesday, and then hit the Carolinian Inn across the street around 11:30 p.m. They say he then tried to rob the Scotchman on South College Road and an hour later hit the S & E Food Mart on Market Street.
