WILMINGTON -- River Road in Wilmington was open again this weekend, after emergency crews filled a sinkhole late Friday night.
The sinkhole appeared on River Road near the intersection of Sanders Road Friday, after Tropical Storm Ernesto came through the area.
The sinkhole measured about 11 feet across, forcing officials to close off River Road for much of Friday afternoon.
Crews will return to the location Tuesday for more permanent repairs.
