WILMINGTON -- Participants of the Kayak Eco Tour at Airlie Gardens beat the rain Tuesday and hit the water at Bradley Creek.
The tourists suited up and learned the finer points of paddling before heading out onto Bradley Creek. The tour focused on the salt marsh ecosystem and how it was connected to other coastal concerns.
Tour organizers also intended to show what threatened the creek. They hoped that people could understand their role in protecting it.
