WILMINGTON -- The repairs on the broken sewer line on Military Cutoff Road were completed on Saturday. No raw sewage ended up in surrounding waterways.
The break was caused by a DOT contractor working to install storm drains as part of a road-widening project.
Vacuum trucks cleaned up the spill. Workers took the material to a nearby manhole.
New Hanover County engineering crews worked through part of Friday night to finish the repairs.
There’s only one thing we have to say to the “granddaddy of hornets’ nests” - nope.
