WILMINGTON -- The Verizon Wireless Call Center off Shipyard Boulevard is hiring. Folks waited in line at the center Thursday for a chance to get a job.
Verizon says demand us up, so the company needs to add about 75 people to its workforce.
Verizon officials were happy to see the large turnout of skilled workers at Thursday's job fair.
"They're very qualified, always a good crop of people in Wilmington. Eager to work here and it's a good place to work. And so far so good, it's a good group that's coming out today," says Call Center Director Anthony Bowman.
Verizon officials say they may hire more than 75 workers, if they find the right people.
