i always appreciate your perspectives.  today was no different.  the theme of my new children's book is caring and sharing.  life IS precious and it always takes an experience like yours to twinge our awareness.  well done as always.  many thanks. claire connnelly

Thank you, Karl. It amazes me that even in death, Paul is providing opportunities for lessons.  Patrice Willetts

Yes, life is short and one should "seize the moment" as often as possible. Good friends are very precious and are to be cherished and appreciated. We all need to "wake up and smell the roses."

As I was unable to attend, I'd like to thank you for your commentary and recap of Paul's memorial.  It helped me knowing how well it was attended as I am still grieving over the loss of a good friend. Paul had been on my list of "need to call" as I had just gotten an email from him and hadn't spoken to him in a couple weeks.  I'm so very sad I didn't get around to it in time.  Tomorrow was too long to wait for.  Sighhhhhh. Your perspective of partaking a small kindness and lending a listening ear and how much it can unknowingly touch someone's life and ultimately define one's life is so very right on!  Paul certainly did this for me and it makes me hope that I have done the same for others. I think of Paul often - as I did when he was alive. He was a special friend to me as he was to many. Thanks again for allowing me to share in his memorial through your eyes and heart. Jan DeVos

One of the best ever. I loved him. Wilmington is a poorer place because he is gone. Thanks for the tribute. Pam Wooddell
