JUNE 27, 2006 --
A family torn apart by murder must relive the crime this week in a Brunswick County Courtroom.
Thomas Duncan is accused of murdering his daughter-in-law, Johnetta Duncan, at his home on Friendly Lane in Leland.
Thomas Duncan's wife Kathleen testified for the prosecution Monday, saying Johnetta came over to their house to pick up her 3-year-old son. There was an argument and she says that's when her husband shot their daughter-in-law. Prosecutors say Johnetta was shot five times at point black range.
Thomas Duncan could testify as early as Wednesday. He is expected to plea that he killed his daughter-in-law in self-defense.
