Local Authorities Search for Bank Robber

JUNE 20, 2006 -- Police are looking for the man responsible for robbing a Wilmington bank. The robbery happened at the Suntrust Bank on south 17th Street around 12:00 Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say a man walked into the bank with a bag and a note, demanding money from the teller.

The alarm went off as he was leaving with the money. Bank workers say he took off in a teal Chevrolet truck with tinted windows.

Police believe the man was a white male in his early to mid thirties. If you have any information, please contact the Wilmington Police Department.
