JUNE 5, 2006 -- It's time to start putting together an emergency supply list for the hurricane season. If you live on Oak Island, don't leave hurricane decals off the list.
The Oak Island Police Department has already issued 7,000 decals for residents of the island. They will allow a quick re-entry onto the island after a hurricane evacuation.
The decals are available for free at the Oak Island Recreation Center. You will need to bring your driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of your residence on the island.
You can pick up the decals at the following specified dates and times.
