Wilmington Police Warn Motorcyclists to be Cautious

JUNE 4, 2006 -- A series of motorcycle accidents in Wilmington have police asking drivers to be careful.

The most recent crash claimed the life of a 20 year old Wilmington man.

Now, officers with a new Wilmington police motorcycle unit are offering some safety advice. They're telling drivers to stay alert and asking bikers to slow down.

Officers also warn drivers to take extra precautions before turning into traffic. It's often hard to judge the speed of a motorcyclist. Also look for them in your blind spots.
